New route from Washington DC to Dublin

US airline United Continental will operate a daily service from Dublin to Washington's Dulles International Airport on 8 June 2012, which is one of the East Coast hubs, and to more than 80 onward connecting destinations. The flight will depart Dublin at 11.25am and arrive in Washington Dulles at 2.25pm local time. The flight will depart Washington/Dulles at 10.02pm and arrive in Dubin at 9.55am the following day.

Paula and her team were very honoured recently to meet President Mary McAleese at Aras an Uachtarain (the Presidential Palace) when the President hosted a reception for one of our prestigious US clients in Ireland. It was a great honour and a career highlight for all of us.

Failte Ireland/Tourism Ireland US Fam - Sept 2011

We were delighted to handle a recent fam trip for meeting & incentive planners from the USA on behalf Failte Ireland/Tourism Ireland which brought us to Dublin, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry and Clare. Highlights included a demonstration of Gaelic games, an impromptu meeting with one of Ireland's leading chefs Neven Maguire at Ballymaloe House in County Cork, a lesson on how to make the perfect Irish coffee and an introduction to traditional Irish music in a cosy pub in Killarney.

Dublin gets UNESCO City of Literature Status

Dublin is just one of four cities in the world to be designated city of literature by UNESCO. No less than four Nobel Prizes for Literature have been awarded to writers associated with the city: George Bernard Shaw, W.B. Yeats, Samuel Beckett and Seamus Heaney. Other illustrious Dublin writers of international repute include James Joyce, Jonathan Swift, Cardinal Newman, Oscar Wilde, Sean O’Casey, Denis Johnston, Flann O’Brien, Brendan Behan and Jennifer Johnston. A great way to celebrate Dublin's literary traditon is to take a stroll with one of our local literary experts.

New Bike Scheme Launched in Dublin

A great new bike scheme has been launched in Dublin similar to those in operation in Paris, Vienna, Brussels and Seville.  For as little as Euro 2.00 you can have access to a bike for up to 3 days with pick up/drop off points located conveniently around the city.  The first 30 minutes is free and then a charge is applied for each subsequent half hour.  For more information or to register see  www.dublinbikes.ie.

 

John Cusack visits Ireland to celebrate a very special birthday
